Title: Ruling of ihram for an Afaqi

Question: Please guide me on the matter, I live in Makkah but my nationality is from Pakistan. When I travel from Pakistan to KSA usually I don’t have intention to perform umrah immediately because of the tiredness from travelling. After I arrive home in Makkah and join my work for 2-3 days, I decided to perform umrah. I entered ihram like the people of Makkah so i went outside the hudood and entered in the state of ihram and performed umrah. It is permissible for me as I am living in Makkah to enter the city without Ihram and perform umrah after few days as I didn’t have the intentions of performing umrah immediately when I was coming to KSA.

Since you are Afaqi (from outside Miqat) and it is not permissible for an Afaqi to cross the Miqat without ihram, so whenever you come to Makkah it is necessary for you to wear ihram and perform Umrah. There is no concession for you in this regard.
