Title: Advance Zakat

Question: Is it permissible to pay zakah in advance? I have become sahib nisab on 2nd Shawwal last year, and want to pay the zakah that is due on me in this Ramadan itself. Is that allowed?

Bismillah hir-Rahman nir-Rahim !

(Fatwa: 1685/1294/B=1433) When last year on 2nd Shawwal you became sahib nisab then this year on 2nd Shawwal your year shall complete and zakah shall be wajib on you. But if you have paid your zakah 10-15 days earlier i.e. in Ramadan then too it is right, it is allowed as per the Shariah.
