    (Fatwa: 1710/1344/B=1431)

If the spouses have any discord, they should invite two men for compromise; one from the side of wife and one from the side of husband. They should hear the words of both, and try their level best to remove their discord and try to get them reconciled. And if there is no way of reconciliation, then in severe compulsion she can get divorce. If he does not agree to give talaq, the wife can demand for khula, i.e. she can get divorce in return of her mahr. The husband shall bear the expenses of birth and the expenses of child upbringing up to the age of seven.
