Title: How to purify underground storage of water container?

Question: One of my hens did defecation on the lid of the sump. Later when it was overflowing it got mixed with the whole water. What can I do to purify the water? Do I need to empty whole (10000 liters) of water and cleanse the sump three times or shall I let it overflow for few minutes?

If the tank you mentioned in the question is so large that its level is 220 square feet or more, then according to Fiqh it is “dah dar dah” (ten by ten). Its ruling is that if impurity falls in it and no effect is seen, then it is not impure. Therefore, there is no need to do anything in this case, because it is unlikely for the effects of chicken droppings to remain after falling into a ten-thousand-liter tank and mixing with water.

Note: If tank’s length and width is nominal but the depth is too much then write the actual situation and submit the question again.
