Title: Music in Islamic Songs(Nasheeds)

Question: We have a lot of Islamic songs out there containing music; some scholars say it is allowed. They say that spreading the message of Islam in this generation has increased highly with the content of music. And there are many artists (Nasheed Artists) and record labels who prepare Islamic song using music. Many people have inspired. Concerts take place. What would be your views?

Bismillah hir-Rahman nir-Rahim !

(Fatwa: 614/499/B=1434) If the Nasheed (song) does not contain anything against the holy Quran and hadith rather it is as per the Shariah then there is no harm in reciting it. However, it is haram and unlawful to read it with music. The holy Prophet Muhammad (صلى الله عليه وسلم) came in this world to eradicate music. If we enliven it imitating the world then it is very sad.
