Question: Please clarify: My daughter’s name is ARISHA ABRAR AHMED, she is 8 years old. Is it correct name as per Islam or I should change her name? What is the meaning of Arisha?

(Fatwa: 151/110/L=02/1435) Arisha means palki (palanquin). This name is also right, but if you replace it with any of the following names it will be better: Khadijah, Afifah, Sumayyah, Hafsah, Ayishah, Fatimah, Khansa etc.
