    Bismillah hir-Rahman nir-Rahim !

(Fatwa: 154/154/M=1433) Hadi is one of the 99 beautiful names of Allah (Asma-e-Husna); hence if a baby is named as Abdul Hadi, it is better. But it is not correct to name only Samad, it should be Abdus Samad.
