The Prophet (صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم) used to love sweet. Most of the time, he used to live on dates and water, while sometime the dates were also not available, he used to go without food. Sometimes, he got some meat or sometime milk. But, it is nowhere written that he used to specially take sweet after meal, whereas it is written in books of Fiqh like Hindiyah and Shami that one should start eating with salt and end it on salt: من السنۃ أن یبدأ بالملح ویختم بالملح
