Title: Gutkha business

Question: I have gutkha business in Maharashtra, some ulama declare this business as haram, you should advise us.

(Fatwa: 291/232/B=3/1443)

The business of gutkha is lawful, but it is khilaf-e-aula (not preferable).

قال فى الشامي: وصح بيع غير الخمر أي عنده خلافًا لهما في البيع والضمان، لكن الفتوى على قوله في البيع، ثم إن البيع وإن صح لكنه يكره كما في الغاية . (شامي)
