- Q. what is the opinion of the ulema of deoband in regards to the method used by many slaughterhouses where the animal are first rendered unconscious through various means of shock, like captive bolt, water bath stun etc and then slaughetered. Some Ulema who approve this method say that the method is islamic and okay. there are various studies that shows that animals die when they are given shock and in some cases causes other types of problems to the animal. is this type of slaughetring, where a delibrate shock given prior to slaughter an islamic method or un islamic? what is the ruling on consuming such meats where there remains a doubt that the animal may or may have not died because of this shock, mainly because the ulema who approve this do not individually check each and every animal but instead visit such slaughterhouses, once or twice in a year

- Q. I am a Muslim from Pakistan, presently serving in United Nation Mission in Georgia, Georgia. Here, halal meat and beaf is not available. Only frozen halal chicken is available. Many of my colleagues here eat meat, beaf and chicken which is not halal, claiming that Christian food/meat is halal. Please advice if such like meat is allowed to be eaten or otherwise?
