Title: Is it allowed to give zakat to buy the land for madarsa

Question: In our village we have a mosque. Recently we the villagers bought some land adjacent to the mosque for the purpose to build a madrasa and paid some amount in cash and some in loan. My question is that can we villagers give our zakah to pay the loan taken for this land?

(Fatwa: 1742/1742/M=1433) No, the money of zakah cannot be used in buying land for madrasa, since the money is not given in the possession of a poor which is necessary.
