Title: Assalamualaikum Q)Many Musafir Safeers (who dont have money on them according to nisaab) collect donations on behalf of Islamic Schools or Madrasahs,when they are given zakaat money for the School or Madrasah they take Qabza of the money on behalf of the School or Madrasah (because they havn't got money according to nisaab)then they put all the money which was given to them as zakaat in to lillah for the School or Madrasah,In the above situation will the zakaat money become lillah? Bismillah hir-Rahman nir-Rahim !

(Fatwa: 2063/1641/D=1430)

(1)    Whom the donor has given the Zakah or Fitrah amount, to the students of Madrasa or Safeer? If he has not made Safeer its owner but only made him wakil to deliver it to madrasa students, then if Safeer keeps the money itself, the Zakah shall not be paid.

(2)    If the Safeer who is poor and deserves Zakah was made the owner of that amount, then in very beginning he became Sahab-e-Nisab by possessing the amount equal to 52.5 tola silver, after that he is not allowed to take other Zakah money for himself and by giving him the Zakah will not be considered paid.

(3)    So in these conditions, the amount which Safeer will give to madrasa from himself, the Zakah of donor will not be paid, rather the safeer also will have to repay all the money.
