Title: Gusul

Question: As my hair is long it is difficult for me to take ghusl after intercourse with my hubby every time. Is there any alternative? Kindly help.

Bismillah hir-Rahman nir-Rahim !

(Fatwa: 1010/804/D=09/1436) It is mandatory to wash all the hair and take water to their roots while performing fardh ghusl. However, if the hair are entwined then one is exempted from washing the hair there is no need to untie the braid, it is fardh only to take water to the roots. There should be left no root dry. And in case it is not possible to take water to the roots without untying them then it shall be necessary to untie the braid and wash the hair. Now you should check whether the water reaches in the roots in case you do ghusl while your hair are tied or not.

I alo started wearing niqaab soon after my marriage. before my marriage i used to drive whenever i had to go out, but never with any non-mahram. It is quite a harassment for women to go out hunting for autos to go anywhere and it becomes a helpless situation and waste of time if autowaalas dont agree to take you to your destination.but now after marriage my husband is not very happy with the idea of me driving anywhere. i have stopped driving since my marriage, but i have to go out with my mother who is elderly or anywhere short distance without my husband it has become a real tension and i have become immobile. i also have a back ache problem which gets aggravated if i travel in auto. i want to know if on rare occasions, it is ok for me to drive short distances with my mahrams in sucha situation. isnt this better than get into fitnah situation with talking with autowaalas or 2 ladies walking long distances on the road? 2515 views
