Title: Is there anything like tayamum

Question: I have heard that there is a tayamum of body in which you wipe your body with dust, is that right? It is said that that tayamum can be performed when you are in a state of impurity but due to fear of getting ill you cannot perform ghusl, in that situation you can do body tayammum and perform salah. I wanted to know has this kind of tayammum any existence?

    Bismillah hir-Rahman nir-Rahim !

(Fatwa: 1155/969/B=1433) It is lawful for a mazoor person (excused person) to do tayammum for ghusl and for wudhu as well. Tayammum is to strike one's hands on earthen wall or clay or on earth with the intention of ghusl or wudhu and then pass them over the face covering the part which is washed in wudhu. And again after striking both hands second time, the hands should be passed over both forearms including the elbows. Tayammum is not of whole body it is only of face and the hands. Tayammum may be performed in the state of impurity and in illness when one fears illness in case of using water. One may offer salah with this tayammum.
