    Title: I suffer from excess vaginal discharge. One of the remedies involves cleaning the vagina by inserting finger into the vagina and cleansing it with a wet finger during a bath. Is this allowed and does inserting the finger make ghusl fardh?

    Question: Assalaamu alikum, I suffer from excess vaginal discharge. One of the remedies involves cleaning the vagina by inserting finger into the vagina and cleansing it with a wet finger during a bath. Is this allowed and does inserting the finger make ghusl fardh?

    It is not necessary to have bath in the abovementioned condition. Yes, the wuzu will be invalid by entering finger if it is wet after taking out from the vagina. Such a patient is prescribed to keep sponge in the vagina to absorb the water inside. In this case, wuzu will be valid until the water reaches to the external part of the vagina (which is out of round whole of vagina).
