(Fatwa: 847/815=B/1430)

The sunnah way to hold miswak is that the little finger of right hand should be placed under the miswak, the thumb over the head of it, while the other fingers over it:

والسنۃ في أخذہ أن تجعل خنصر یمینک أسفلہ والبنصر والسبابۃ فوقہ والإبھام أسفل رأسہ، کما رواہ ابن مسعود (الشامی 1:334، کتاب الطھارۃ)
