Title: Validity of Salah with tight leggings/ chudidars for women.

Question: Is salah of the woman valid if she is wearing a chudidar or leggings which are tight enough to show the shape of the leg while praying?

(Fatwa: 899/899/M=09/1436) A woman should avoid wearing such dresses which expose the body structure especially it is necessary to avoid wearing such dresses in front of a non-mahram. However, the ruling pertaining to salah is that if the tight dress is thick and it does not expose the colour of body skin then salah shall be valid. In case it is so delicate that shows the skin colour then salah shall not be valid. إذا كان الثوب رقيقاً بحيث يصف ماتحته اى لون البشرة لا يحصل به سترالعورة (حلبى كبير).
