    Question: I have heard that according to Imam Abu Hanifa and Imam Malik that it is sunnah to offer fardh salah by jamat. Is it correct?

    Bismillah hir-Rahman nir-Rahim !

    (Fatwa: 1225/805/H=1433) It is Sunnah muwakkadah close to wajib. According to Imam Malik (رحمة الله عليه) it is sunnah and this is mentioned in التعليق الصبيح شرح مشكوة المصابيح.
