Question: Was tahajjud prayer obligatory because it is mentioned in the Quran (17:79), if not then let me know that whether it is Sunnah or nafl?

Bismillah hir-Rahman nir-Rahim !

(Fatwa: 1074/1074/M=1433) Tahajjud salah is not fardh rather it is nafl, but the holy Prophet Muhammad (صلى الله عليه وسلم) has regularly performed it hence it is right to say it sunnah as well.

Q. I would like to ask you regarding the permissibility of children (na-baligh) standing in the rows of adults in the masjid.
