Title: I would like to get clarified with the gesture (raising the finger once or moving the finger continuously) being made while sitting in attahiyat

Question: I would like to get clarified with the gesture (raising the finger once or moving the finger continuously) being made while sitting in attahiyat. The major difference between Hanafis and Saudi (Imams and public) are subjected to the grammar to be used in the Hadith (past tense and past continuous tense) of Vayil ibn Hujar! Considering the mother tongue, the Saudis are stronger in grammar when compared to us. Whom should I follow? Please provide me with detailed explanation together with the contradictory Arabic word!

    Bismillah hir-Rahman nir-Rahim !

(Fatwa: 603/513/B=1433) According to Hanafi Fiqh, the finger shall be moved only once in al-tahiyat. To move continuously may be the practice of the Shafi’i people.
