Title: I would like to ask you regarding the permissibility of children (na-baligh) standing in the rows of adults in the masjid. In our masjid (in London, UK), 2 groups seem to have developed. 1 group says it is necessary for the children to stand in the rows at the back of the congregation during salaat, whereas the other says children should/can stand within the adult rows. Both groups quote different ulama to support their views. Can you please enlighten us with the BEST PRACTICE which should ideally be promoted and followed in our masjid (ie, what should we TRY to do in our masjid, regardless of whether the masallees will follow it or not)?

If the minor children are more than one, they should stand behind the queue of men. If they stand in the queue of men, the salah will be valid but this is against sunnah.
