Title: Dream about light

Question: I read the istikharah prayer and slept. I saw that I am waiting for the gate of my home to get open which I thought is closed, but after that when I touched the gate; I found that the gate is opened. Upon entering, I found the lights off in the room but when I went ahead, there is white light in the next room. Please tell me the result of istikharah as whether the result of istikharah is positive or negative.

(Fatwa: 1480/2008/D=1433) After istikharah the heart automatically turns towards the better option or Almighty Allah creates betterment in what the man has adopted. Neither it is necessary to have a dream in it nor there is need to investigate positive or negative from anywhere. If after doing istikharah once the inclination is not clear or it was so from earlier time and it is not going to be clear whether it is good then it is better to do istikharah for seven days. After then one should start the work with advice.
