Question: A company sells a car for 1000000/- rs if i pay net amount at the time of purchase but on installment it costs 1200000/- (100000/- per month) for total 12 months. is it permissible or it comes under interest. please reply

(Fatwa: 817/817/M=1432) It is lawful to sell in less price in case of cash payment and increase the price in late payment. It is alright to deal in a car of 10 lakhs for 12 lakhs on instalments, but the matter of cash payment or late payment should be very clearly defined. هكذا في كتب الفتاوي.

What should I do? Is it acceptable to perform this type of work in a bank?

Q. Salaamolaikum, I reside in a rented house and end up paying significant money as rent, I do not have an own house. It is difficult to save enough money and then buy a house by paying the whole amount at one go. My other assets are also not enough to buy a house even if I sell all of them. In this context am I allowed to avail a loan from a bank and buy or construct a house and then pay back the money in instalments, knowing that the bank is going to add interest to the principle when getting back the loan?
