Title: Marriage

Question: Can I marry with my cosine sister (khaleri bahen)? I drank milk of my grandmother while I was a child. In this case does Islam allow me to marry my cosine sister? Please help me in this regards. looking forward for your answer, your prompt reply on this would be very helpful.

(Fatwa: 440/440/SD=08/1436) Due to sucking milk of your Nani (grandmother) in childhood your Khala became your sister. Hence it is not lawful for you to marry the daughter of your Khala i.e. your niece. قال الحصكفي: حرم على المتزوج – أخته وبنتها – (الدر المختار مع رد المحتار : 3/29، كتاب النكاح، باب المحرمات، دارالفكر، وقال: فيحرم منه أي: بسببه ما يحرم من النسب (3/213، باب الرضاع) .
