Title: I am Mirza Inayatullah Baig, from Warangal District, Andhra Pradesh, India

Question: I am Mirza Inayatullah Baig, from Warangal District, Andhra Pradesh, India. I am married in 2008, November 17. My wife left me accusing that I am kafir and her father who is khalifa of Ahle sunnat ul jamaath. His father and his murshid degraded me that I am kafir because I did not follow or believe in murshad and I do not worship Tombs of the dead. I totally believe in Allah and Allah is the alone to be worshipped. My wife has done abortion twice as per their murshad recommendations that the months of Safar and Muharram are bad for the pregnancy. From 3 years we did not talk to each other or have any contacts. She wanted me to forcefully convert as mureed of her father and murshid. They tried some amliyat, black magic etc. But Alhamdullillah, Allah protected me from the Evil. I tried to convince them but they did not lift my phone also. They broke all my contacts with my wife. Is my nikah valid now?

    Bismillah hir-Rahman nir-Rahim !

(Fatwa: 1775/1250/L=1432) You did not become kafir due to the reason you mentioned i.e. "you do not believe in Murshid and do not worship Mazars". It is not part of our Iman to have belief in murshid, likewise it is not kufr not to worship mazars rather it is haram to worship mazars but it is an act of shirk. And when you did not become kafir then your nikah did not break. Your nikah is still intact.
