(Fatwa: 816/816/M=1432) Kufu means that the boy is not inferior to the girl in religion, lineage, wealth and education and so on: وتعتبر الکفاءۃ نسبا وحریۃ واسلاما ودیانۃ ومالا وحرفۃ الخ )الدر المختار( Loving a strange girl is unlawful. If the family of both sides are willing, you can marry the poor girl whom you like to marry.
