(1) Walima is a feast that is presented to relatives, the poor and needy people as a token of thanks after nikah and meeting of the bride and groom.
(2) Walima is not wajib (compulsory) but only sunnah.
(3) This is an un-Islamic custom; therefore it should be abandoned.
