Title: Can we keep daughter's name as Tahira or Rumaan

Question: I want to keep my daughter's name as Tahira or Rumaan. Please tell me if these are the names of Sahabiyat and their meaning.

The name Tahira is very good, it means chaste and virtuous woman. However, whether this name belongs to any Sahabia or not, we could not find its answer. Similarly, we could find nowhere whether Rumaan is the name of any Sahabia or not. However, Umm Ruman is the name of the mother of Ummul Mominin Hadhrat Ayesha Siddiqa (may Allah be pleased with her), who is the wife of Hadhrat Abu Bakr Siddiq (may Allah be pleased with him). So, it is better for you to choose the name of your daughter as Umm Ruman or Tahira. You can keep any of them you like.
