     (Fatwa: 1526/1156=H/1429)

     

    (1) It is allowed but it should be within limits i.e. should not have words of kufr and shirk, one should not believe about it as curative in itself (but the curative is only Allah) and one should write only duas or words mentioned in the Holy Quran or Hadith. (Muslim Shareef, 224/2, Tirmizi,26/2) Hadhrat Abdullah bin Umar (رضى الله عنه) used to write duas and tie them around necks of the little children as it is mentioned in Abu Dawood Sharif 543/2, the detail can be found in Raddul-Muhtar 232/5.

    (2) He was not a student of Darul Uloom Deoband.
