    Title: Ques1: Is it permissible to run a recruitment agency (placement service) wherein you help companies to interview and hire employees provided the company is not involved in a haraam business e.g a company which manufactures 'plastic chairs'? Ques2: Will it will be permissible if some part of the job of the employee (that we help to recruit) is haraam like calculation and recording of interest assuming we recruit accounting professionals and no company nowadays is free of interest ?

    (1)     It is undoubtedly permissible to conduct interview and help in selecting employees in Shariah compliant companies. For this, two things must be kept in mind: (a) All processes from the beginning to the end have to be done justly. (b) The employees or the company should not be deceived but truthfulness and honesty should be observed in every matter.

    (2)     Recruiting persons for only prohibited work is impermissible. One should avoid it as much as possible.
