Title: There are certain customs in our society that no one can cut part or branches of trees, collect fruits and flowers from trees at NIGHT. It is said, at NIGHT, all the trees go for sleep. Is that correct? Is there any Islamic rules in supporting the prohibition of above mentioned tasks? Please explain whether it is ok or disliked in Islam.

It is not wrong to cut it if necessary, but one should not cut a tree unnecessarily. The above belief is not correct; it is not prohibited in Islam.
