Title: Gold found in home

Question: I have found gold coins in my house two years back and I want to know how to use it and whether it is haram or halal. Can I invest this in my business or shall i spend this in the path of Allah? Whatever I earned through this gold is it haram or halal? Please reply.

(Fatwa: 1213/1308/N=1433) If the gold which you got in your house is buried by any man then you should enquire about it to the previous owners of the house whether anyone of them has buried it. If you know the person who has buried it and he tells you any satisfactory sign then it should be given to him. But if the owner is not known as per satisfactory method then it should be given to the poor and needy ones.
