    Title: I would like to know that if a person commits haram will he be expelled from islam.

    Question: I would like to know that if a person commits haram will he be expelled from islam...is it right or not...usually here in my area people drink and call themselves muslim...basically what i want to know is whether person remains in state of islam if he commits haram or is he expelled from islam....your earliest reply is awaited.

    (Fatwa: 892/742/B=1432) No doubt, liquor is the mother of all evils i.e. the root cause of all evils. It is haram to drink it and one of the most heinous of the major sins, but a man does not go out of fold of Islam by drinking it. Such a person shall be fasiq (debauched and sever sinful) due to this act. He should sincerely do tauba and istighfar.
