    Title: My wife after few years of marriage filed criminal cases against me and my family members and I also filed cases. Now the matter has been compromised and for settlement I have to pay a huge sum for withdrawal of cases and final settlement, I have finally given Talak to her. The amount is much higher which runs into lakhs of rupees, my question is Whether I can give interest received from Bank in excess of amount of Iddat and maintenance. Your early reply in this regard shall be help me in the right direction.

    In the abovementioned case, it is unlawful to give the interest money received from bank. This interest should not be spent therein.
