(1) Tie was basically introduced by non-Muslims; therefore a Muslim should avoid using it until there is some compelling necessity.

(2) The alcohol is used to intensify the perfume and scents. If you are sure that alcohol used in perfume was prepared from grape and date then it will not be allowed to use the perfume. And, if the alcohol is not prepared by the two agents then such perfumes are allowable to use, rather it is better to keep off.
