    Bismillah hir-Rahman nir-Rahim !

    (Fatwa: 979/831=D/1430)

Adopting a method or medicine which permanently removes the reproductive capability is unlawful for a Muslim. Putting a stop to birth due to the fear of increasing population is intervention in the divine system. Allah promised to provide sustenance to each and every creature He created:

The Hadith also forbids the same:

We cannot give you details about this matter in a short fatwa. If you want more information, you should study Fatawa Rahimiyah 10:181, published from Karachi. Likewise, see Fatawa Mahmoodiyah 18:307 and Zabt-e-Wiladat ki Sharyee Haisiyat by Mufti Muhammad Taqi Usmani.
