Title: How to control anger?

Question: Is there any dua or surah to control my anger? Please help me.

Bismillah hir-Rahman nir-Rahim !

(Fatwa: 850/850/M=09/1437)

When someone feels anger he should sit if he is standing and lay down if he is sitting i.e. he should change his position and if possible he should make wudhu with cold water as it shall remove the heat of anger. He should also recite the following verse:

الَّذِينَ يُنفِقُونَ فِي السَّرَّاء وَالضَّرَّاء وَالْكَاظِمِينَ الْغَيْظَ وَالْعَافِينَ عَنِ النَّاسِ وَاللّهُ يُحِبُّ الْمُحْسِنِينَ [آل عمران : 134]

You have given the following dua بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم :الَّذِينَ آمَنُواْ وَتَطْمَئِنُّ قُلُوبُهُم بِذِكْرِ اللّهِ أَلاَ بِذِكْرِ اللّهِ تَطْمَئِنُّ الْقُلُوبُ ، وَرَبَطْنَا عَلَى قُلُوبِهِمْ ، لَوْلَا أَن رَّبَطْنَا عَلَى قَلْبِهَا لِتَكُونَ مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ ، وَلِيَرْبِطَ عَلَى قُلُوبِكُمْ. to a lady for curing severe breathing problem. 1) IS it necessary to put it in a taweez and hang it aorund the neck or is it sufficcient to just recite only. 2) Note that i am a male, and would like to know if there would be slight changes to the dua as mentioned. 3) Could you please also indicate the translation of this dua in english language. 1413 views
