Title: Assalaamualaikum. We had one relative of us whose daughter was seriously ill. Our relative invited us to her house along with some other people and requested to make the zikr of "LA ILAAHA ILLA ANTA SUBHAANAKA INNI KUNTUM MINAZZWAALIMEEN", 1,25,000 times with the intention that with the barakah of this zikr her daughter might get Shifa. We all were requested to make this zikr to an extent that the sum of the number of times this zilkr is done by all of us reaches the total figure of 1,25,000. My question is: Is this way of doing zikr established by Quran or Sunnah. If not will it be considered as Bidah?

    Bismillah hir-Rahman nir-Rahim !

    (Fatwa: 1805/D=280/K=1430)

    لا إِلَهَ إِلا أَنْتَ سُبْحَانَكَ إِنِّي كُنْتُ مِنَ الظَّالِمِينَ

The above verse is from Quran and it is mentioned in the Quran that Hadhrat Yunus (peace be upon him) recited it in order to remove troubles. The abovementioned number is also proved from the elders, it is not bid?ah, there is no wrong in following the same.

Allah (Subhana Wa Ta'ala) knows Best
