(Fatwa: 122/130=B/1429)

Istikharah means consulting Allah in a important matter in order to know whether to go ahead or not. It goes like this, perform two rakaah salah and recite the dua of istikharah, then go to sleep. See the dua in Bahishti Zewar. Go to bed after performing the salah and reciting the dua. In the morning, see where your heart tends, do the work for which you did the istikharah if you find your heart tending to it.

Q. asalamualaykum mufti sahab, Like many other brothers, i have been reading the book "Hizbul Aazam" by Mulla Ali Qari Rahmatullhalay. I read the english translation. I have the following questions regarding the book: 1. Ideally, the supplications should be in arabic, but as i dont understand arabic is it still ok to read the supplications from the book in english? 2.
