Title: A lady was known to be near her death. She did one full khatam of the quran and before she passed away she told family and friends to baksh that same quran she read herself to her after she dies. She may have been afraid no-one would read for her after she dies? Is this permissable? Or could she only get the reward for it once she was alive.

Bismillah hir-Rahman nir-Rahim !
(Fatwa: 454/341=H)
She did not need to ask anyone to deliver the reward, the reward of the Quran recitation was written to her credit already.
