(Fatwa: 1828/D=114/K=1429)

The Prophet (peace be upon him) used to apply surma (kohl) at bed time thrice in each eye. (Khasail Nabwi) This is the sunnah way of applying kohl. It is allowed to apply at other occasions as well.
