Bismillah hir-Rahman nir-Rahim !

(Fatwa: 452/380/B=1431)

Though wearing cap for salah and other time is not fardh or wajib but it is sunnah and from the etiquette of salah. If someone out of meekness and humbleness does not wear a cap in salah his salah would be valid. However, if someone does not wear a cap out of fashion and carelessness his salah would be makrooh.
