    Title: HAIZ O NIFAAS

Question: My wife delivered a baby on December 4, 2018. Blood came for 27 days after which it became white for 10 days. On 37th day it became red again and 40 days have crossed. The experience on the previous children has been as follows: 1st child - Haiz blood came for 30 days and then stopped 2nd child - Haiz blood came for 30 days, stopped for 5 days and came again from 36th day onward 3rd child - Blood came for 40 days with intermittent stoppages for 1 to 2 days. Please advise on the following: 1. What days she will considered as Paak and should offer prayer ? 2. Is the blood coming out on 37th day considered as Haiz or Nifas? Appreciate your detailed reply to the above.

If this is fourth child as it is apparent from the question then in the question mentioned above it shall be regarded as Nifas (postpartum period) for forty days and bleeding there after shall be istihazah. Thus the days in which the blood discharged after passing forty days it is wajib to make the qaza of the salah of those days according to Shariah. The blood which came after 37th day it shall also be regarded as Nifas, the whitish fluid which you saw for ten days in-between shall be counted as Nifas.
