    Delivering the sermon of Jumua in Arabic language has been Sunnat Mutawarisa (from the Prophet?s period till date). Therefore, delivering Jumua sermon in any language other than Arabic is Makrooh-e-Tahreemi (desirable to Haram extent). If anyone opposes this sunnah he should be politely convinced that he is committing bidah (innovation) he should forsake it:

    فانہ لاشک فی ان الخطبة بغیر العربیة خلاف السنة المتوارثہ من النبی صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم والصحابة رضی اللہ عنھم اجمعین فیکون مکروھا تحریما ۔۔ (عمدة الرعایة)
