Question: Could you tell me the criteria of Jumuah salah? How many people are compulsory at a time in salah/ village/ place/ market/? Briefly explain.

Bismillah hir-Rahman nir-Rahim !

(Fatwa: 163/120/D=1434) (1) Jumuah salah is not wajib in small villages hence it is not correct to offer it there. (2) Jumuah salah may be offered in any town, big village or city. However, it is far better to offer in Jama Masjid, then in other mosques. If it is offered in Hall etc the reward of masjid shall not be gained, though Jumuah shall be valid. (3) It is necessary for Jumuah to be attended by three adult Muslims except Imam.
