Question: Hadhrat I have question regarding isal-e-sawab. Hadhrat you have mentioned in this site that performing nafl salah and sawm and sadqah their deeds transfer to one who passed away but here in Karachi two of Deobandi sites Jamia Ashrafia and Fikr-e-Akhrat said that only reciting Quran and doing sadqah will transfer deeds to deceased. What is your opinion? Please refer me book in which it is discussed about hadith authenticity in Fazail Amal in English.

(Fatwa: 178/104/H=1433) (1) If the articles of both the websites are before us then we can write something about it. (2) We do not if there is any separate book on this subject in English or not. But the English printed version of the book Fazail Amal by Hadhrat Shaikhul Hadith Maulana Muhammad Zakariya (رحمة الله) usually is found in book stores of India and Pakistan. And the ranks of ahadith mentioned in the book have been analyzed. Read it thoroughly and then if you have any doubts then write it to us.
