    (1) If someone dies in the ocean and his body is not found is there supposed to be salaatul janaazah? what if u have one body part of the body can you then do salaatul janaazah? (2)If someone dies by suicide, does he die as a muslim or a kaafir?

    (1) It is necessary to keep the dead person before Imam to perform Salat-ul-Janazah on him/her:

    ووضعہ و کونہ ھو او اکثر امام المصلی (الدر المختار مع الشامی، ۳/۱۰۶)

    Therefore, if any person gets drowned and the dead body is not found then Salah will not be performed. If only some parts of the dead body is found then also salah will not be performed until most of the parts are found:  It is stated in Durr-e-Mukhtar:

    وجد راس آدمي او احد شقیہ لا یغسل و لایصلی علیہ بل یدفن الا ان یوجد اکثر من نصفہ و لو بلا راس (الدر المختار مع الشامي، ۳/۹۲)

    (2) A person does not become Kafir by committing suicide. In Fiqh-e-Akbar:

    ولا نکفّر مسلماً بذنب من الذنوب ای بارتکاب معصیةٍ کثیرةٍ و ان کانت کبیرةً۔ (الفقہ الاکبر:۸۶ )
