Question: I want to know that can I spend my zakah amount in welfare work as road repair, street light, water tank etc?

Bismillah hir-Rahman nir-Rahim !

(Fatwa: 145/157/L=02/1437) It is necessary to spend the amount of zakah by putting it in possession of the poor and needy ones. It is not lawful to spend zakah money for welfare work.
