(Fatwa: 511/308/D=1432)

She cannot travel without a mahram. It is mentioned in a hadith:
لا تسافر امرأة ثلاثاً إلا و معها محرم . (اخرجه البخارى 2/54)
A woman should not travel for more than 48 miles except with a Mahram relative.
