Title: deviant sects.performing namaz behind the jamaat e islami.

Question: There are many masjids captured by Jamat-e-Islami. Is it permissible to offer namaz behind Jamat-e-Islami, Ahl-e-Hadith and behind the imams who do not lead namaz in time?

(Fatwa: 372/366/H=04/1437) Imamat is very high post and actually it is the deputyship of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (may peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). Hence this post should be given to a person who is pious and practicing as well as he is aware of the rulings of the salah and holds a true belief and is among the people of Ahl Sunnah al-Jamah ie he really loves the Sahaba and Imams, and keeps his tongue safe from speaking ill about them. He leads the prayer at its appointed time. Such person may be given this post. If it is so then it shall bring virtues and prosperity in the locality and for the Muslims, in-shaAllah.
